I have fallen so far behind on this, so the next week or so is going to be pretty vague.
Had my first full day of riding with Sebastien and Raymond. After the very solitary stretch out of Thunder Bay it's great to have company again. Sebastien is a Venezuelan immigrant living in Toronto, and Raymond is a Chinese immigrant living in Vancouver. Both seem very nice, and Raymond was quick to let me know he was a mechanic (at the same shop I got my bike at surprisingly), and quickly set about tuning up my bike. Very appreciated. He's a bit odd, but he's riding for charity (MS), so that's spretty cool.
We stayed in a camp site, and I have to say splitting costs three ways is awesome. We met three girls there who are also doing a charity ride. Well, two of them are. On carbon race bikes. The third follows in an RV. As much as I'm loving camping, I still get a little jealous of people with such awesome set ups. Despite having no encumbrances, they're riding about as far as us each day since they're following a touring route, so hopefully we run in to them along the way.
In the morning it stared to absolutely pour, so we decided to call it a rest day and hunkered down in the sheltered laundry facility. Since we were all running low on groceries dinner was a bit weird- but ultimately good.
